The Gang

The friendly fun atmosphere of the Nantégué means it is a popular destination and is the centre of many fond memories for people that have stayed in or visited the chalet.

"Seriously the best crew of people I've ever met - so many funny

moments, epic powder days, very good food, decent rooms, awesome

resort... I'm definitely going back!"

Troy machine Troy’s Story

“On a powder day Dug, Gem and Tim get woken up at 8.00am andcooked breakfast. They then get driven to the bubble and get first lifts to all the good stuff. NO ONE does poo trees until Dug gets there, and Gem and Tim get first lines down ‘satellite’. When hiking ‘sputnik’ someone carries Dug, Gem and Tim’s boards while someone else piggybacks Dug, Gem, and Tim. If anyone does sputnik before them then these people are hunted down and their big toe is removed with a nutcracker. When the day is finished everyone buys them a beer and cooks them dinner. End of story, no questions!”

It was friendly but there was something else, something more exciting, something that didn't make you feel quite safe. It was the feeling that anything might happen.  Like stepping into the 'Lost Domain'.  The fancy dress parties, the Kiwi challenge, the hidden potential of the young men slumped at the bar, tired and drunk beyond all reasonable care, the all out wars (amicable, of course), the feeling that everything had surcome to the oppressive and infectious beat of hip hop or the spell of JJ coming from the speakers.  And the feeling was at its most powerful when the snow had fallen and young minds turned all their energies to building the snowpark under flood lights in the garden.  Then, anything really and truly and did happen.”
