The Nantegue

Why not spend the season in our old converted farmhouse, the Chalet Nantégué (grid ref F6), a short walk from the centre of town with ensuite rooms, great service and fantastic food on offer.

This will be the 6th winter for Snowboard Morzine’s seasonnaire chalet, run each year by experienced snowboarders. The Nantégué is a safe, fun and friendly place to live and make new friends, whether you’re on your own or coming out to stay with mates.

The accommodation

The barThe Nantégué is a large 3 storey chalet with large communal areas on the ground floor including dining room, bar, TV room, garage and garden.

There are 16 bedrooms sleeping up to 36 people, all of varying sizes depending on whether you wish to rent a room with friends, your partner or share a dorm room. The large range of room sizes means the chalet can cater for all budgets. Prices start from as little as £1500 per person per season and vary depending on the size of the room and whether it is private or shared. Please contact us if you would like a quote. Every bedroom is ensuite and the majority have balconies as well.

Beds are provided with pillows and duvets but guests will need to provide their own linen and towels.

The staff, who are experienced snowboarders live on site, so help and advice is readily available.

  • “I never expected the chalet to be run to such a high standard” Jordan 2005.

The food

Xmas partyBreakfast and a 2 course evening meal are available everyday in the chalet. This can be booked beforehand for the whole season at a cost of £899 (7 nights) or £580 (4nights) let’s face it, at least this way when you run out of money during the season you won’t starve. Paying in advance also means you get 1 month free food compared to cost of paying daily for the whole season.

Food can also be booked on a day to day basis with breakfast available for €3 and dinner for €9. Each week a menu is put up and you can pick and choose which meals you’d like to eat that week. Some of the meals on offer are shown below.

“Best soups in Morzine” Rob 2004

There are NO self-catering facilities available in the chalet, only a kettle (for instant soup, etc) and a microwave, but there are plenty of pizza delivery companies, restaurants and snack bars in Morzine.

  • “Paying for food for the whole season is the best thing you can do as then you know you’ll be fed for the whole season without having to worry about spending more cash” Tom Lenartowicz 2005

The bar

The bar

The chalet has its own bar serving beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks such as peanuts, crisps and chocolate. The prices are cheaper than the public bars in town, as its pretty expensive to drink all season long at €5 a pint.

The bar is a focal point of the chalet in the evenings, and parties are often held during the season

  • There is a free car park next to the chalet if you want to drive your car out
  • A free bus operates around Morzine during the day whichs stops outside the gate of the chalet and takes you to the lifts in just 3 or 4 minutes.
  • The chalet has a large garden and during the winter features its own park with rails and other jibs, all of which we have built ourselves. It is the scene of many a nights riding, often accompanied by a barbeque and party. In spring, once the snow melts, the garden gets plenty of sun for starting on the tan.
